Sharon Hill @IDoubtIt
There are people who call this guy one of the most credible Bigfooters? I can't even read this page from circa 1990. http://www.donotlink.com/4e
The post titled, "Do You Even Squatch Troll?", that Sharon is referring to was made just yesterday at http://www.teamsquatchinusa.com by Dr. Matthew Johnson. To be fair he posted only as Matthew Johnson but that does not change the fact that he is a psychologist. I can understand his frustration pushing him to post against trolls but as Sharon Hill said in her tweet, "There are people that call this guy one of the most credible Bigfooters?" I found it hard to read myself. Not because I'm a troll but simply because we look for leaders in various communities both offline and online. Leaders cannot afford to react with such emotion. The rant Dr. Johnson made has me questioning his credibility.
Otherwise, I liked the page. I found it artfully done however the angry undertone belied the purpose in announcing that he was not going to respond to trolls. Unfortunately those trolls attack not only him but his family and are just plain hurtful. I was the subject of several trolls after I shared my own bigfoot encounters publicly. There were many that were great and encouraged me for sharing but those trolls are what i consider the most hateful and egregious er...people online.
I turned inward and did not want to participate in any communities. I was called a liar, loser, etc. Then I eventually realized it was a form of jealousy that they were displaying. Bigfoot Envy? Yes. Bigfoot Envy! What a tolerant web we weave!
